jjp SHERRY MARATON
The JJP SHERRY MARATON offers a unique opportunity to run through Jerez de la Frontera and the sea of vineyards that surround the city and form part of the Marco de Jerez, taking part in a special race over the legendary distance of 42,195 km.
Description
The JJP SHERRY MARATON will start on sunday 3 of May at 8:00 am in the Alameda Vieja, right in the centre of Jerez. The first kilometres are an urban route through the main streets of the historic centre of the city before entering the sea of vineyards of the Marco de Jerez.
Once we are immersed in the vineyards, we will visit some of the most representative vineyards of the Marco de Jerez with their characteristic vineyard houses.
Finally, we leave the surroundings of the vineyards to face the last urban kilometres again, going through the main wineries of the city to reach the Alameda Vieja, the finish line of the Sherry Maraton.

Recommended Equipment
The organisers recommend that JJP SHERRY MARATHON runners carry the following equipment in order to be able to complete the race:
- Mobile phone with a charged battery.
- Containers and/or watertight bags for liquids: With a minimum total capacity of 1L.
- Sunglasses
- Sun cream: Total protection.
- Electrolytes and/or mineral salts.
- Food reserve: bars, gels...
- Suitable rucksack: according to the volume of the material and the pace of the race.
Cloakroom
The Organisation will have a cloakroom service where runners can leave their belongings, located in the finish line area in the Alameda Vieja.
The cloakroom will be open from 8:00 to 14:30 on Sunday.
CONSIDERATIONS
- Please do not leave valuables in the bags. The organisers cannot be held responsible for the objects handed in.
Showers
Runners will be able to use the showers located in the Vega Veguita Sports Centre.
We recommend checking the weather forecast the days before to choose the material to use
